August 2009 — The NTI is recognized at the HRSA annual meeting and NHS, CEO, Dennis MacKay presents to grantees from across the Nation.
July 2009 — Hospitals and health care providers including NHS celebrate the New Hampshire legislature’s passage of SB 138, An Act Relative to Insurance Coverage for Telemedicine Services, despite persistent efforts by carriers to prevent coverage of telemedicine services. This bill establishes the New Hampshire telemedicine act, which requires insurance coverage for telemedicine services if the health care service would be covered by the insurer if it were provided through in-person consultation between the patient and provider. NHS CEO, Dennis MacKay testified at the hearings and highlighted the impact of the NTI and our related projects in the North Country.
In January of 2007, the Northern Human Services initial telepsychitary project was desiginated as success story by the Rural Assistance Center.
